Fonts and Favicons

I received a report from my server that the icon in my webpage (the music-loving apple) was causing my website to load very slowly—a few milliseconds too many. Well, we cannot stand for that! Something must be done! I'll shrink the size of the icon and even add a favicon while I'm at it.
For my previous websites, I had used the apple icon/logo developed earlier but reduced in size. I forgot what size a favicon should be, but while looking up the standard favicon size (which I remember being about 30x30 pixels), I found out that each OS, each browser even, uses different defaults. Anywhere from 350x350 to 25x25. This website took care of formatting and resizing my apple icon: https://realfavicongenerator.net. Here's the thing: It works well, and does it for free—but it's exceptionally slow with a 5 second delay while typing or moving sliders. It does work—just be patient.
I've installed the code, uploaded the images, and hopefully this website is at least mildly snappy. I also added the Proxima Nova font. My hope is that it is so easy on the eyes, you don't even consider the font.
